New Delhi: Suresh Prabhu's railway budget announced passengers will not pay more for travel, a point that won him props on Twitter. But, those inhabiting a universe ruled by a 140-character limit had a bigger preoccupation: the minister's Express pace.
As the Railway Minister promised to increase speed of trains running at 110-130 kmph to 160-200 kmph, Twitter said "slow down, you move too fast."
Prabhu spoke 8926 words in 67 minutes-that's 133 words per minute.
Suresh Prabhu wanting to raise the #Rajdhani speed by the speed of his speech! #RailBudget2015

Many on Twitter complained that they missed what the minister had to say because he was "too fast."
Wow, Suresh Prabhu has set off at a great speed. Faster than Shatabdi Express. Slow down, boss. Hum goods train hain. #RailBudget2015

#RailBudget2015 PM's dream is super fast Bullet Trains, not super fast Budget Speech from Prabhu.

Some said that Prabhu has set a record of sorts.
Suresh Prabhu is perhaps the fastest speaker among recent railway ministers. Sadananda Gowda was fast, but Prabhu has overtaken him.

But many pointed out that he isn't. While Prabhu's speech lasted for 67 minutes, NDA's previous Railway Minister Sadanand Gowda who had presented the Railway Budget in July spoke for only 62 minutes. That was apparently the fastest speech.
#Trivia #RailBudget2015 @sureshpprabhu 's was 2nd fastest Rail Budget speech in history. Took 67 minutes vis-a-vis Sadanand Gowda's 62 mnts
