'Would Rather Burn Car Than Touch Snake,' Distressed Caller Tells Cops
A snake inside a car could have been a cause of a possible fire. When a caller in Auburn City, USA, called the police to request assistance in removing a snake from his car, he was so distressed by the occurrence that he would rather have burned his car down than touch the reptile, according to the police department's Facebook post. "Well, we don't get calls like THIS every day - thank goodness," writes the Auburn (Maine) Police Department in a post shared yesterday that has already collected over 140 shares.

Fortunately for the unidentified caller, Officer Travis Barnies was dispatched to remove the snake from the car - which he managed to do. According to the Facebook post, the snake was caught unharmed and released - hopefully far away from any more cars.

Meanwhile, many have commented on the post to say that the caller did not really overreact and that they could understand his reaction. "I completely understand the person who would rather burn his car than touch the snake," writes one user on Facebook. "Awesome job Travis, but it definitely would have been a call for a burning car from me," jokes another.
