100 Sovereigns of Gold, Cash Missing From Car in Coimbatore

A software company employee today lodged a complaint with the police that 100 sovereign of gold ornaments and some cash kept in his parked car were missing.

The complaint lodged by Saravanakumar stated that he had taken the ornaments from a bank locker and kept them on the rear seat along with some cash and gone to have food this afternoon in a hotel on Avanashi Road in the city, police said.

However, the ornaments and cash were missing, when he returned, he said.

Based on the complaint, the police is investigating both on the authenticity of claim and those behind the theft, they said.
