Nashik:
A 14-month-old boy has died after consuming liquid mosquito repellent while playing at his home in Nashik, police said today.
The victim, Shourya Amrish Kulkarni, a resident of Ramdas Swami Nagar locality of the city, died during treatment last evening, an officer of Upanagar police station said.
"The child had consumed the liquid mosquito killer while playing at home. When his parents later noticed it, they rushed him to a private hospital at Dwarka square. However, the child died during treatment," police said.
A case under section 174 of CrPC (unnatural death) has been registered in this regard.
