Suspects of the Rape case in Rajkot.
Two people have been arrested for allegedly abducting and raping a 22-year-old woman in a moving van in Rajkot, the police have said.
Amit Ahir and Bhavesh Barwad, both 20 years old, allegedly abducted the woman from her house near Nana Mauva area on the night of January 3.
"Amit allegedly raped the girl inside the van," said lady police sub-inspector H D Solanki, who is investigating the case.
Bhavesh drives a school van, and he used to pick up the victim's niece. The same van was used in the alleged crime. Later, the duo allegedly dumped the girl on the road.
The girl filed a complaint yesterday and the accused were arrested on Tuesday.
