Badaun (Uttar Pradesh): Thirty four people, returning from the funeral of a relative, were killed and 30 injured when the matador carrying them collided with a bus in Badaun on Saturday evening.
Badaun District Magistrate Amit Gupta said the collision took place near Annipur village on Badaun-Agra road when the matador collided with the state government bus in Ujhani police station area.
Those killed included the driver of the bus, SP D K Chaudhary said adding the victims were returning after performing last rites of their relative, he said.
All the deceased belong to Saroura village under Ujhani police station area.
