Mathura: Police have registered a case against unknown persons after a bag, containing cash worth over Rs 25 lakh and ornaments, was stolen from Radha Krishna garden here where a marriage function was going on.
"We are trying to find out the culprits. It is not a loot since the complainant himself in his complaint has alleged the theft," Deputy SP Preeti Priyadarshini said.
Police had filed an FIR based on a complaint lodged by Ratan Singh, who was present when the incident happened.
"The bag containing ornaments and cash stolen on Thursday midnight from a room where half dozen persons were sitting and when the marriage was being solemnized," the Deputy SP said.
