Six men on motorcycles vandalised the premises of a hotel and fired shots in the air in Madhya Pradesh's Ujjain on Friday evening. The act was caught on a closed-circuit television (CCTV) installed outside the hotel.
In the footage, the men can be seen charging towards the hotel, armed with sticks, some with their faces covered, and damaging the property. One of them can be seen wielding a gun.
Police says the men immediately fled from the spot on their bikes.
The hotel owner, Dayal Lalwani, alleges his nephew Shammi Sindhi's men were behind the attack.
Mr Sindhi, who is in jail in Ujjain and faces charges of murder, has allegedly been threatening Mr Lalwani and has been demanding Rs 50 lakhs.
"This was planned by Dayal's nephew. No one got hurt. We have identified one more person, Mahesh who is out on bail. We will arrest them soon," said Superintendent of Police Manohar Verma.
The police is going through the CCTV footage and trying to identify the men.
