Amethi:
Congress activists today launched a programme named 'Zameen ki ladai zameen par' (the dispute of land over the ground) in Amethi with a view to awaken people of the village against the alleged anti-social and anti-people policies of state and Central government.
The decision was taken at a meeting presided by President of District Congress Committee, Yogendra Mishra, and was attended by most of the office bearers of the party at its Gauriganj office, Congress leaders said.
Party activists will organise 'chaupals' at the village level from August 13 to 16 and try to awaken people against the anti-people policies of state and Centre, Mr Mishra said, adding that August 9 will be celebrated as 'Kranti Divas' at the party office in Gauriganj.
