A 55-year-old watchman deployed at a housing society was allegedly killed by a fellow security guard on Mira Road area in Thane, police said today.
The accused, who also worked as a watchman in another housing society on Mira Road, allegedly called the victim on the terrace of a building where he reportedly slit the latter's throat with a sharp weapon yesterday, police inspector Dhanaji Kshirsagar said.
The accused was subsequently arrested and booked under section 302 (murder) of the IPC, he said, adding the body was sent for postmortem.
