Four killed, eight injured in mishap

Tirunelveli: Four persons, including a couple were killed and eight injured in a collision between a car and a van near Panakudi, 30 km from Tirunelveli.
   
Police said a 60-year-old man Gnanamuthu and his wife Geetha (56) were on their way to Nagercoil when the mishap occurred.
  
The car driver entered the one lane service road by mistake and collided with the van. While Gnanamuthu and an occupant of the van died on the spot, Geetha and the car driver died en route to the hospital.
  
All the injured in the van have been hospitalised, police said.
