Haridwar, Uttarakhand:
An alleged liquor smuggler was arrested from Shyamnagar area in the district and foreign liquor worth Rs 3.5 lakh was seized from his possession, police said today.
On a tip-off, police intercepted accused Lalit Prasad's car at Shanidev Mandir area in Haridwar and seized 65 cartons of foreign liquor worth Rs 3.5 lakh in international market, they said.
According to police, the accused hails from Deharadun and necessary action is being initiated as per excise rules.
