"In the same month the accused shut the office at Tikri and absconded," he said.
11 people, who gave money to Sahu, have approached police and the investigation is on to find the number of persons Sahu duped, he added.
A man was arrested for allgedly duping unemployed youths by promising them jobs in Rayagada district, police said today.
The accused, identified as Aswini Kumar Sahu, 24, of Balangir district, had opened an office at Tikiri in 2014 and collected huge amount of money from jobless youths, Rayagada Sub-divisional police officer (Rayagada) Jagannath Rao said.
Sahu took money from ITI candidates, promising them jobs in his company. He colleted between Rs 30,000 and Rs 1 lakh from the candidates based on their experience, said Mr Rao.
A special team of Rayagada police arrested Sahu from Balangir district yesterday.
