Nashik: A minor boy accused of murder was shot at inside a juvenile court today in Nashik by father of the victim, who later managed to escape.
The 17-year-old accused was brought to the court for hearing in the afternoon when Praveen Baviskar entered the courtroom and opened fire on him from a pistol, police said.
The bullet hit the 17-year-old on his hand and he was rushed to Nashik Civil Hospital. Baviskar then managed to escape.
Police have registered an offence of attempt to murder against Baviskar and are searching for him.
The youth, accused of killing Baviskar's son, is lodged in a children's observation home in Nashik.
