Man Booked for Allegedly Threatening and Molesting a Woman

A case has been registered against a man on the direction of a local court for allegedly molesting, assaulting, and threatening to kill a woman.

The woman, a resident of Vijay Nagar, reportedly lodged a petition in a court , saying that on May 5, she gave Rs 2.5 lakh to the accused in order to get some work done, which was not done by him.

When she questioned him, he allegedly molested her.

Upon protesting, he allegedly assaulted her following which locals rushed to the spot. The accused then fled from the scene.

Taking cognizance of the petition, the court ordered the city police to register a case.

"Acting upon the woman's complaint, a case has been registered against the accused for molestation, threatening to kill," Investigating officer Rampati said.

Police is investigating the case.
