Alirajpur: A 28-year-old man was arrested today for allegedly murdering his father-in-law after the latter caught him stealing a goat, police said.
The incident occurred on September 11 when Jaria Singh went to the place of his father-in-law Saharia Singh (55) at Amjaria village to steal the goat, Katthiwada police station inspector SPS Chauhan told PTI.
When Jaria was leaving the place with the animal, Saharia stopped him, police said, adding that Jaria killed the goat with a sharp-edged weapon before stabbing Saharia.
According to Mr Chauhan, Saharia was keeping an eye on his son-in-law for last few days on suspicion that the he was stealing his cattle.
