He said the man has been shifted to an asylum.
A mentally challenged man was brutally assaulted allegedly by at least three policemen inside a police station for disrupting traffic and pelting stones on commuters in the city.
The incident came to light yesterday after a video clip of the alleged assault was circulated, purportedly showing two to three policemen thrashing and kicking the mentally challenged man after tying his hands and legs inside Surajpol police station premises in Udaipur.
The man was picked up by the policemen after locals complained about him creating nuisance and causing a traffic-jam like situation on Gulab Bagh road on Thursday afternoon. He also pelted stones at commuters.
He said the man has been shifted to an asylum.
