Dholpur:
A 13-year-old girl was allegedly raped and murdered in Narpura village under Dholpur's Sadar police station, late on Saturday night. The victim's body was recovered from a well in a nearby farm the next day.
Police have registered a case against Bhuttan Jatav of nearby Pachgaon village.
The cops have also preserved the viscera from the deceased and are recording statements of her brother, who was with her before the accused took her away.
According to police reports, the victim had gone to Narpura village along with her younger brother and other friends to attend a wedding function.
While they were returning late on Saturday night, Jatav offered them a lift on his bike. After travelling some distance, he pushed the boy down and took the victim to an isolated place near the village. Her brother informed the incident to his parents after which her family lodged a complaint with Sadar police.
A few locals spotted victim's clothes and slippers in the field and after a thorough search her body was found from a well near the farm. Sources informed that the accused had initially left her body in the field but later dumped it into the well in order to avoid quick action.
Sadar police said that the body was taken out from the well with the help of villagers and was sent for a post-mortem.
