A Spanish woman visiting Pushkar in Rajasthan has alleged that she was molested on Monday evening by some locals, who also attacked her companion with a stone.
The couple says they had rented a bike and were on their way to a temple in a rural area in Pushkar when a group of young men molested the woman and snatch her bag. The woman alleges her clothes were torn off.
When her companion tried to stop the attackers, they hit him on his head with a stone.
The couple was taken to a hospital in Ajmer by the manager of the hotel they were staying at.
Six people have been arrested by Ajmer police. The bag, camera and other belongings of the Spanish couple have been recovered from them, the police said.
