LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT

Amitabh Bachchan

The biggest star of Indian films, Amitabh Bachchan or 'Big B' as he is widely known, remains an unmatched force even at 73.

He started with supporting roles and soon came to overshadow top stars of the day. He first shot to fame as the 'Angry Young Man' of the '70s, starring in films like Zanjeer, Deewar and Sholay.

He continues to churn out hits, like last year's acclaimed Piku, and made his Hollywood debut in the 2013 film The Great Gatsby.

Big B has reinvented himself as a one-man entertainment industry with brand equity in films, ads and TV shows. He was last seen in January release Wazir.

Sourav Ganguly

Sourav Ganguly is arguably India's most successful captain ever. A captain who taught India how to win test matches abroad.

He took over the captaincy after the match-fixing expose in 2000 and quickly proved to be a sharp, shrewd and an intuitive leader.

Under his stewardship India tied a test series in Australia and won a series in Pakistan; results that turned him into a cult figure.

As a One-Day batsman he was a match winner, who on occasions could even eclipse the great Sachin Tendulkar, thanks to his fluent stroke-play; over 11,000 One-day runs are testimony to that.
