Patna: Senior Superintendent of Police Jitendra Rana said two other live bombs were defused by the police. The explosion caused panic among the residents of the area, he added.
Local police officers also said the flat in which the explosion took place was under illegal possession of a youth.
An explosion in a flat in Patna on Monday night has exposed what the police believe was a bomb-making operation.
A bomb went off inside the apartment at the city's Bahadurpur housing area. Four people who were in the flat reportedly escaped before the police could reach the spot.
The police have said the bomb was being made there for criminal activities.
