Patna:
A police officer and his body guard were shot at while they were patrolling Patna's Fulwari Sharif area last night.
Assistant Superintendent of Police Rakesh Kumar, an Indian Police Service or IPS officer, was reportedly chasing two men riding a motorcycle after receiving a tip-off about them.
The two men opened fire in a bid to escape. The police officer was shot at three times. His body guard received one bullet injury.
Both were admitted to Patna Medical College and Hospital. Police sources say they are out of danger.
