Four medical students of Patna's Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Science were arrested for thrashing a policeman on duty.
In the incident that took place on Wednesday, four students of the medical college were caught driving without helmet.
When the traffic policeman asked them to pay fine, the students allegedly started beating him up.
Later, a police team arrived on the spot and saved the policeman from the mob. All those accused of thrashing were identified and taken into custody.
In protest of the arrests, students of the medical college threatened a strike. However, police refused to relent.
The entire incident was also recorded on the CCTV and police has the footage into their possession.
