Patna:
Three children of a family were charred to death when a fire broke out in the slums here, police said today.
The fire broke out when a burning kerosene lamp fell down inside a house in Karbigahiya area near Patna junction late last night, they said adding the blaze soon engulfed the slums.
The three children of the family who were roasted alive were identified as Raja (9), Badal (8) and Banjat (8).
The inferno was later brought under control as fire engines were pressed into service.
