Two killed, five injured in road mishap in Bihar

Patna: Two women labourers were killed and five others injured when a truck in which they were travelling overturned near railway colony under Khagaul police station area in Bihar's Patna district on Tuesday, police said.

The mishap took place as the ill-fated truck, laden with foodgrains, lost control and overturned trapping a group of labourers in it.

While two women labourers, identified as Pratima Devi, 45 and Gudia Kumari, 25, died on the spot while five others sustained injuries.

The injured labourers were admitted to hospital. The labourers were going back to their native villages
in Bhagalpur district after harvesting paddy crop in Bhojpur district, police said.
