Jayant Sinha taking oath as a minister in the Narendra Modi-led government (Rashtrapati Bhawan)

Jayant Sinha, who graduated from IIT Delhi and Harvard Business School, is now a Union minister. He is Minister of State in the Finance Department.
The 51-year-old, whose father Yashwant has served as Finance Minister, was among the 21 ministers who took their oath today at Rashtrapati Bhawan.
The Prime Minister has expanded his council of ministers as his government looks to kickstart the economy with new reforms.
Mr Sinha's career has seen him work as an investment fund manager and management consultant (he was once a partner at McKinsey).
He was elected to the Lok Sabha in May this year for the first time from Hazaribagh in Jharkhand, a constituency earlier represented by his father.
Since winning his election, Mr Sinha has been made a member of three parliamentary committees.
He did his MBA from Harvard Business School; before that, he studied at IIT Delhi.
An avid tennis player, he is married to Punita Kumar-Sinha, an investment manager.
