Yogeshwar Dutt is one of India's most seasoned campaigners in wrestling, after Sushil Kumar, and has represented the country in several international events. His Bronze from the London Olympics though, will be his best showing so far.
While he had several medals to his credit before, Yogeshwar's Gold in the Commonwealth Games propelled him as India's hope for a medal in the London Olympics. Wrestling from age 8, he began training in Bhainswal Kalan, in Sonepat district of Haryana.
He took the Gold in the 2003 Commonwealth Wrestling Championships and followed it up with a Bronze in the 2006 Asian Games in Doha. This year, he won the Gold in the Asian Wrestling Championships.
