Dream machines at Auto Expo 2012

The third day of the 11th Auto Expo at Pragati Maidan Delhi saw companies like BMW, General Motors, Toyota, Audi continue to draw media attention. This follows a slew of product launches by Maruti, Honda, JLR, Tata Motors, Nissan among others on Thursday and Friday.

Mahindra has showcased this concept car based on its off-roader Thar, modified by DC Designs, at the Auto Expo 2012.

It sports an advanced CRDe engine measures every bit of fuel and combines performance with economy without polluting the environment.

The drive-by-wire technology aids in quicker and controlled throttle response. And the LSPV brakes aid in preventing wheel lock up and loss of control.

British car maker Mini has unveiled BMW Mini CooperS at the Auto Expo 2012. The BMW-owned manufacturer will bring four models of the car in India.
India's first super-car Avanti has been unveiled at Auto Expo 2012. The car, designed by Dilip Chhabria will be manufactured by Chhabria's firm DC Designs.

It will be completely hand-built at the new facility in Pune.
