10 best dressed stars at Cannes 2013

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan: A black lace Elie Saab couture dress added the much needed oomph-factor to her first appearance on this year's red carpet. We loved her subtle makeup and the cascading hair around her shoulders.

A slim and trim Ash also drew gasps of admiration when she posed for a media call in a black Zac Posen skirt, white Saint Laurent shirt and an Armani belt.

Sonam Kapoor: Sonam sent the cameras in a frenzy as she strutted about on the red carpet in an Anamika Khanna vintage-look white and gold sari worn with a trailing jacket. Sonam's only ornament was an outsized nose ring, the perfect accessory for her stunning outfit.

For her second red carpet appearance, Sonam was in full bloom in a strapless floral Dolce & Gabbana dress with a voluminous skirt that she wore with her hair down.

Freida Pinto: The Slumdog Millionnaire actress poured her perfect curves into a Gucci coral silk chiffon halter gown and then into a silver Sanchita dress with a thigh-high slit.

Nicole Kidman: Cannes jury member Nicole Kidman took the red carpet by storm with every appearance she made. The Moulin Rouge actress was immaculate in a L'Wren Scott dress at the premiere of Inside Llewyn Davis. She followed up the look in a nude Valentino gown during the screening of Nebraska.

Nicole opted for a characteristically quirky Chanel dress with a ruffled hem at the Venus In Fur premiere and later took the plunge in a white Giorgio Armani silk gown dotted with crystals.

Sharon Stone: The Basic Instinct star looked simply gorgeous in a blue Roberto Cavalli dress with a plunging neckline at the premiere of Behind The Candelabra.

Jessica Chastain: The Zero Dark Thirty star upped the bling factor in this purple Givenchy couture gown during the screening of All Is Lost. She was later seen in an off-shoulder Saint Laurent dress and a beautiful Versace gown.

Zoe Saldana: Star Trek actress Zoe scored a perfect 10 in a blue-grey lace Valentino at the premiere of Black Ties.
