  • Top of Oprah's priority list was to meet Beti B, which she did at Jalsa, the Bachchan residence in Juhu. Aishwarya and Abhishek have appeared together on Oprah's chat show, and this time they hosted the Big O on her first India visit. It's entirely possible that the world will finally be introduced to Beti B on Oprah's show.
  • Oprah had a Big chauffeur as she headed to a grand party held in her honour by socialite Parmeshwar Godrej. She rode in the backseat of the car as Amitabh Bachchan himself took the wheel, with Abhishek riding shotgun. That's what we call arriving in style.
  • Oprah's party pick was a stunning orange and gold sari by designer Tarun Tahiliani. She matched it with gold jewellery and simple hair and makeup.
  • On her list is also an outfit by designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee, famous not only for his regal outfits but also for transforming actress Vidya Balan from frumpy to fabulous. Oprah will wear a Sabyasachi outfit while in India.

  • As part of her shoot for Next Chapter, Oprah will interview spiritualist Deepak Chopra on January 21. She will also shoot at the Taj Mahal and the Agra Fort. She plans to produce five hours of programming in India.

  • On her chat show, Oprah famously quizzed Ash and Abhi about why they live with their family rather than on their own. Now, she admits that she is amazed by the tolerance and the system of joint families, saying: "What I love most about this country is their tolerance... how the families learn to love and live together. When I was in America and talking to famous people (from India) I would ask how you live with your parents? Now I see how you do it."
