Our list begins with actor Vivek Oberoi, whose wedding announcement towards the end of 2010 came as something of a surprise. Vivek Oberoi, who reportedly dated Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for some time, married Priyanka Alva in Bengaluru on October 29, 2010. Vivek's mother reportedly played cupid as she set up a meeting with Priyanka Alva, who is the daughter of former politician Jeevaraj Alva and social worker Nandini Alva. Vivek and Priyanka are parents to two children - daughter Ameyaa Nirvana and son Vivaan Veer Oberoi.
  • Aamir Khan's nephew Imran married his childhood sweetheart Avantika Malik in January 2011. Imran was 19 when he fell in love with Avantika. The couple registered their marriage in the presence of only family members at Avantika's Pali Hills residence on January 10, which was followed by a star-studded wedding reception with the who's who of Bollywood attending. Eight years on, Imran and Avantika are parents to a daughter named Imara. They have also recently been hit by rumours of a split.

The morning registration was followed by a grand reception at Mumbai's Taj Mahal Palace hotel. A Mughal-themed reception or daawat-e-walima was held in New Delhi on October 18. The couple welcomed son Taimur in 2016, who at the age of almost-four, enjoys a humongous fan following.

The wedding was reportedly a mix of Punjabi and South Indian traditions. The close-knit guest-list comprised mostly of family members with no Bollywood celebrity spotted at the wedding. Soon after the wedding ceremony, the newly-married couple stepped out to meet and greet the paparazzi outside the venue.

Karan Johar, who is related to Aditya Chopra and also a close friend of the couple, and designer Sabyasachi reportedly made it to the list. While photos from Rani Mukerji's Italy wedding were never released, Rani made an appearance in shankha-pola (traditional Bengali bangles worn by married women) and sindoor at Durga Puja that year.

The Bachchans, Ambanis, Khans and Kapoors headlined the guest-list for the final wedding reception.

Priyanka and Nick exchanged wedding vows in a Christian ceremony on December 1, followed by a traditional Hindu wedding on December 2. Ralph Lauren was the official wedding couturier for their Christian wedding while Sabyasachi was in charge of Priyanka's outfit for the Hindu wedding. Priyanka and Nick also had a crazy haldi ceremony, blockbuster sangeet (Parineeti Chopra, Sophie Turner, the Jonas Brothers performed) and even a friendly cricket match between the Jonases and Chopras. Priyanka too hosted two wedding receptions in Mumbai, one of which had the creme-de-la-creme of Bollywood pouring in. Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, who had just got married the month before, attended and so did Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Anushka Sharma, Rekha, Janhvi Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput, Kajol, the Ambanis and others.
  • Actor-comedian Kapil Sharma and Ginni Chatrath had two wedding ceremonies on December 12, 2018. After the Hindu ceremony, the couple exchanged wedding vows as per Sikh traditions in Jalandhar. After hosting a party in Amritsar, the couple flew into Mumbai for another reception. The never-ending guest-list of Kapil's Mumbai reception included names such as Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, Karan Johar, Kartik Aaryan, Kriti Sanon, Rekha, Anil Kapoor and others. Sumona Chakravarti, Bharti Singh and her husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa, Kashmera and Krushna Abhishek, Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij were some of the actors who represented the TV industry at the reception.
