Our list begins with actor Vivek Oberoi, whose wedding announcement towards the end of 2010 came as something of a surprise. Vivek Oberoi, who reportedly dated Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for some time, married Priyanka Alva in Bengaluru on October 29, 2010. Vivek's mother reportedly played cupid as she set up a meeting with Priyanka Alva, who is the daughter of former politician Jeevaraj Alva and social worker Nandini Alva. Vivek and Priyanka are parents to two children - daughter Ameyaa Nirvana and son Vivaan Veer Oberoi.

Aamir Khan's nephew Imran married his childhood sweetheart Avantika Malik in January 2011. Imran was 19 when he fell in love with Avantika. The couple registered their marriage in the presence of only family members at Avantika's Pali Hills residence on January 10, which was followed by a star-studded wedding reception with the who's who of Bollywood attending. Eight years on, Imran and Avantika are parents to a daughter named Imara. They have also recently been hit by rumours of a split.

It was love-all for former beauty queen and actress Lara Dutta and tennis champ Mahesh Bhupathi who had a beautiful church wedding in Goa on February 20, 2011, preceded by a small wedding ceremony in the presence of family members on February 16 in Mumbai. Earlier this year, Lara Dutta shared a glimpse from her Goa wedding on Instagram on the couple's eighth wedding anniversary. Lara and Mahesh are parents to a daughter named Saira.

Genelia D'Souza and Riteish Deshmukh are couple goals - no, seriously. Riteish and Genelia met on the sets of 2003 film Tujhe Meri Kasam and fell in love - it was also their first film together. They dated for over eight years and got married on February 3, 2012. Without fail every year, Riteish and Genelia exchange adorable wishes on their wedding anniversary. South superstar Ram Charan married his childhood sweetheart Upasana Kamineni in Hyderabad on June 14, 2012. The traditional South Indian wedding was accompanied by a series of grand ceremonies and was attended by some of Indian cinema's biggest stars, including the likes of Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth.

Hema Malini's elder daughter Esha Deol married businessman Bharat Takhtani in a very filmy wedding on June 29, 2012. Bharat arrived at the wedding venue - the ISKCON Temple in Mumbai's Juhu - in a white chariot. Esha and Bharat had a traditional South Indian wedding, which was followed by a North Indian feast. The wedding was preceded by blockbuster sangeet and mehendi ceremonies and followed by a star-studded reception, with the who's who of Bollywood attending.

October 16, 2012 turned out to be extra-special as the much talked about 'Saifeena' (what fans nicknamed Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor) married after dating for a few years. Having starred in two films before, Kareena and Saif connected on the sets of 2008 film Tashan. Kareena and Saif had a week of wedding celebrations at the Kapoor residence in Bandra, which was followed by a private day-wedding ceremony. The morning registration was followed by a grand reception at Mumbai's Taj Mahal Palace hotel. A Mughal-themed reception or daawat-e-walima was held in New Delhi on October 18. Actress Vidya Balan and filmmaker Siddharth Roy Kapur also got married the same year. The couple had a simple day wedding at their friend's Bandra bungalow on December 14, 2012. The wedding was reportedly a mix of Punjabi and South Indian traditions. The close-knit guest-list comprised mostly of family members with no Bollywood celebrity spotted at the wedding. Rani Mukerji and Yash Raj boss Aditya Chopra sort of started the destination wedding trend for the decade. Salman Khan's sister Arpita married Aayush Sharma on November 18, 2014 at Hyderabad's Faluknama Palace, which was attended by the likes of Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra, Karan Johar and others. While the wedding ceremony was a private affair, the couple made an appearance for the paparazzi outside the venue soon after the shaadi. Soha and Kunal Kemmu had an intimate wedding at Sharmila Tagore's Mumbai residence with only family members attending. The couple posed for the shutterbugs minutes after their wedding with Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan by their side. Bipasha Basu was the quintessential Bengali bride at her wedding. The actress married her co-star Karan Singh Grover in Mumbai on April 30, 2016. Since our families wanted the wedding to be a low key affair we mutually decided to keep it private. We seek your blessings on embarking this new journey of our lives," Urmila said in a statement.

Actress Lisa Haydon and businessman Dino Lalvani had a dreamy beach wedding in Thailand's Phuket on October 29, 2016, attended by only close friends and family. Lisa Haydon shared stunning photos from her wedding on Instagram, writing in one post: "Walking to forever." Lisa Haydon, who is expecting her second baby, is also mom to son Zack Lalvani.

The year 2016 closed with the week-long wedding festivities of cricketer Yuvraj Singh and Hazel Keech, whose first wedding ceremony was in Chandigarh on November 30. The second big fat wedding was Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas'. They too had a destination wedding in Jodhpur's Umaid Bhawan Palace. Priyanka and Nick exchanged wedding vows in a Christian ceremony on December 1, followed by a traditional Hindu wedding on December 2. Ralph Lauren was the official wedding couturier for their Christian wedding while Sabyasachi was in charge of Priyanka's outfit for the Hindu wedding. Priyanka and Nick also had a crazy haldi ceremony, blockbuster sangeet (Parineeti Chopra, Sophie Turner, the Jonas Brothers performed) and even a friendly cricket match between the Jonases and Chopras. Priyanka too hosted two wedding receptions in Mumbai, one of which had the creme-de-la-creme of Bollywood pouring in. Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, who had just got married the month before, attended and so did Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Anushka Sharma, Rekha, Janhvi Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput, Kajol, the Ambanis and others.

Actor-comedian Kapil Sharma and Ginni Chatrath had two wedding ceremonies on December 12, 2018. After the Hindu ceremony, the couple exchanged wedding vows as per Sikh traditions in Jalandhar. After hosting a party in Amritsar, the couple flew into Mumbai for another reception. The never-ending guest-list of Kapil's Mumbai reception included names such as Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, Karan Johar, Kartik Aaryan, Kriti Sanon, Rekha, Anil Kapoor and others. Sumona Chakravarti, Bharti Singh and her husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa, Kashmera and Krushna Abhishek, Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij were some of the actors who represented the TV industry at the reception.

Prateik Babbar and Sanya Sagar married in Lucknow on January 23, 2019, and pictures and videos from the event revealed that the groom's father Raj Babbar was the happiest. The couple landed in Mumbai a day after their wedding and hosted a vintage-themed party for friends, where the newly-weds made a dramatic entry in a vintage car.

Saira Banu's grandniece Sayyeshaa Saigal and actor Arya married as per Muslim rituals on March 10 in Hyderabad's Taj Falaknuma Palace. Announcing her wedding on Instagram, the actress wrote: "Qubool Hai... Qubool Hai... Qubool Hai... For life." The couple continued their wedding festivities with a reception in Chennai, attended by close family and friends. Before the wedding, a sangeet ceremony and a pre-wedding bash was hosted in Hyderabad.

Actress Pooja Batra married Nawab Shah in a surprise wedding in July this year. They had an Arya Samaj wedding in New Delhi supposedly on July 4, and followed it up with a close-knit get-together in Manesar to continue their wedding celebrations. Pooja Batra simultaneously filled up her Instagram with glimpses of her wedding.
