Superstar Aamir Khan today met with Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot to discuss his plea for the speedy trial of female foeticide cases highlighted on his new TV show Satyamev Jayate. Mr Gehlot has agreed to Aamir's request of a fast track court to resolve all pending cases.
Aamir will explore 13 different social issues on the show and said: I want every Indian to see the show and say - I will not do this wrong…or allow anyone else in my family to do this wrong.'
The first episode of Satyamev Jayate, which aired on Sunday (May 8), featured the story of a sting operation conducted seven years ago by two Jaipur based journalists to expose increasing female foeticide cases in four states - Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.

The show also occupied the top five trends on Twitter. Even before Aamir could wrap up the episode, 2,254 tweets were notched up.
Aamir has three children himself: a son and daughter, Junaid and Ira, with first wife Reena, and five-month-old son Azad with present wife Kiran. Azad was born via a surrogate mother, and his parents were widely saluted for not hiding the fact from an all too judgmental public.
