Abhishek Bachchan injured while shooting his new film

Abhishek Bachchan was injured on the sets of Rohit Shetty's Bol Bachchan in Jaipur, yesterday (September 14).

The actor had to get six to seven stitches on his forehead and Rohit Shetty cancelled the shoot after Abhishek's injuries. However Abhishek, certainly played it cool on Twitter.

“Bachpan me mere pitaji ne mujhe sikhaya tha... "mard ko dard nahin hota" :-) !!!” he tweeted.

He followed it up with another tweet which is sure to reassure his fans: “Had a fall whilst filming a small action sequence in Jaipur. Have come back to Mumbai now and will resume work at the earliest.”

Mom-to-be Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was spotted at the Siddhivinayak Temple with her parents. The actress looked pretty as ever and was seen wearing a saffron chunni over her suit.

Aishwarya was in the news recently for returning the token amount for the film Heroine and is also said to have sent a legal notice to the producers not to use any material from the film shoot she had done for perpetuity on any platform.

The actress is said to be miffed about Kareena stepping into the project.

Abhishek Bachchan was clicked in London with wife Aishwarya Rai.

Aishwarya, who is over six month pregnant is said to be shopping for her baby with hubby. This picture was posted on Twitter by their fans.

In another picture posted on Twitter, the two are seen arriving at the airport.

A visibly glowing Aishwarya seems to be taking all the right precautions and is seen travelling light.

The actress, who is six months pregnant, was snapped on the sets of a recently shot commercial. The picture was doing the rounds on the Internet and was posted on a blog.

Our sources say YRF happily agreed to give Abhishek time off to welcome Baby B into the world. D3 will now begin shooting only after Abhishek is ready.

Madhur Bhandarkar's new film, Heroine, hit a massive bump when his leading lady, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan announced she was pregnant. After keeping mum for weeks, the director finally tells all. He blogs: "The entire event would not have taken place if at the beginning the actress had informed of an impending maternity. The truth was hidden from us. We learnt about it from news channels like the rest of the world. Filmmaking functions on faith and trust."

According to reports, the former Miss World is five months pregnant and is due to deliver in September this year. Aishwarya reportedly wants to wrap up her current assignments soon and go on sabbatical. Husband Abhishek wants a baby girl but rumours are rife that Ash is pregnant with twins. Double Dhamaal, Bachchan style!

Expectant dad Junior Bachchan makes his first appearance post the joyful news. We notice the ecstatic smile on his face even as he tries to dodge the paparazzi- finally rewarding his fans with a thumbs up!

The proud daddy-to-be wants a baby girl just like Ash, Abhishek posted it on his twitter account.

Here's how the Jr Bachchans reacted to the messages congratulating them on the new addition to the family.
Abhishek and Aishwarya said, "Thank you all for your warm wishes. We are very happy and would like to thank all our well wishers for their love, support and blessings."

As Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan venture onto this new journey towards parenthood, we take a look at what it means to be the next generation of Mr and Mrs Bachchan – the great photo ops, the glib diplomacy, the professional lows and a few highs.

Many are unlikely to recall their first bland on- screen appearance in Raj Kanwar's Dhai Akshar Prem Ke. The Bollywood remake of Hollywood's A Walk in the Clouds, established early on that this Mr and Mrs Bachchan would not rekindle on screen, the intensity, charm and sensuality of the original Mr and Mrs B.

It was a full three years before Abhishek and Aishwarya were back on screen opposite each other in Rohan Sippy's Kuch Naa Kaho in 2003.

Next year Umrao Jaan happened and then there was no stemming the tide on the now hot and happening Abhi-Ash story. No confirmations from either of them of course, except Aishwarya's cryptic references to ‘my man and his family' when questions persisted.

When Karan Johar began this season of Koffee With Karan with AB Jr. and the missus, he did claim his due for getting them together. Apparently he had told Abhishek that Aishwarya was ‘right for him'. Good match making there Karan!

The two announced their engagement on 14 January 2007, just two months after everyone was still gasping over Aishwarya's sizzling kiss with Hrithik Roshan in Dhoom 2. At the time it didn't go down too well with the staid Bachchans was the buzz.

The wedding itself was a bit of a letdown. Many in Bollywood weren't invited and even the media were politely kept at bay. This led to much speculation that all the secrecy was nothing more than a purely financial compulsion since the rights to the wedding had been sold to some magazine/media house/TV channel for mega bucks! Not very romantic, is it?
The Bachchans later said they wanted to keep it close-knit in deference to the hospitalized and seriously ailing Teji Bachchan.

Post the wedding, among their most memorable photo-ops was the trip to Tirupati.

In June that year Abhishek and Aishwarya were seen at the IIFA awards. Junior Bachchan performed and an excited Ash enthusiastically rooted for him. On his part, each time Abhishek lip synced, “dekh soni ko dekh' (look at the pretty girl), he would point to his bride.

When Mani Ratnam's Guru released in 2007, it packed a solid punch. Abhishek was superlative in reliving a complex role. Aishwarya too delivered more than her stunning looks. For the first time, the couple could electrify the screen with the elusive chemistry.

India's own Brangelina, now famously identified as Abhi-Ash, looked good together and advertisers where quick to notice.

Filmmakers too wanted to jump in on the Brand Bachchan bandwagon and Ram Gopal Varma's sequel to Sarkar, Sarkar Raj included Aishwarya along with Amitabh and Abhishek to more or less complete the Bachchan parivaar on screen.

After the spark in Guru, Abhishek, Aishwarya as an on-screen couple faltered again in Mani Ratnam's Raavan. Yes, even the couple's favourite filmmaker couldn't work his magic this time around.

On her own Aishwarya has come back with the Rajinikanth starrer Endhiran and her critically acclaimed performance in Guzaarish. Abhishek on the other hand hasn't been as lucky with a series of flops dogging him.

It was time to revive Brand Bachchan once again - this time in a television commercial for Lux. The commercial oozed what Abhi-Ash have struggled to convey on the big screen - sparkle and chemistry.

On Aishwarya's last birthday, November 1, 2010, Abhishek posted a picture of the two of them enjoying a romantic meal on Twitter. He wrote, “There she is, as promised, the birthday girl.”

The two were spotted together on the Oscars red carpet, earlier this year.

For Abhishek's birthday on February 5th, Aishwarya surprised him on the sets of his upcoming flick Players in New Zealand.

In 2009, the actors took a week off from the shooting of Mani Ratnam's Raavan and went for a holiday to celebrate their 2nd year together.

The third year was marked with a holiday to the US. Amitabh Bachchan even blogged about his son and daughter-in-law taking a flight to New York to celebrate.
