It was a moment of cheer and celebration for Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Southern superstar Rajinikanth and the whole crew of the movie Endhiran.
-
The producer of the film Kalanithi Maran threw a party as the shooting for the magnum opus Endhiran was wrapped up.
-
The director of Endhiran, Shankar, writes on his blog, “The whole Endhiran shoot is wrapped on 7th July with the shooting of the song sung by AR Rahman, choreographed by Remo at Sun Studios.”
-
He further writes, “I think this is the first film where I am doing the pumpkin-breaking pooja (poosanika udaikiradhu) with the lead stars Rajnikanth and Aishwarya Rai.
-
Reflecting the feelings of all those who were in attendance in the party, he says, “Everyone had this feeling similar to a cricket last over…. like a 2 year college wrapping day where you feel very happy & also with a heavy heart … I am amused when I see the same feelings in everyone…”
-
According to director Shankar, it was a memorable day for everyone there.
-
They all shared some interesting stories related to the making of the film.
-
Music maestro A R Rahman has also prepared the final version of the songs.
-
Writes director Shankar, “. The first song clearly indicates that our AR Rahman is an Oscar winner. I hope once again our combination lives up to your expectation levels. And we are planning to release the audio in this month end.
-
Endhiran is about an andro-humanoid robot.
-
The shooting locations include the historic Machu Picchu in Peru.
-
Two songs of this high budget movie have been shot in America.
-
Now the film is expected to release very soon.
-
Actress Aishwarya Rai, who had expressed her desire to work with Rajinikanth earlier, speaks very highly of this actor.
-
Talking exclusively to NDTV, she says, " Rajinikanth is such an incredible individual. We have highest respect to him. He truly commands it and that speaks volumes about his personality."
-
"He is so real, simple and wonderful human being. He is the epitome of stardom in their world. He is someone just humility personified. It's very humbling, " she adds.
-
The film is directed by Shankar, known for his extravagant style.
-
Double-Academy-award-winner A R Rahman has scored the music of the film.
-
It is Rahman's second project with Rajinikanth and Shankar.
-
The team has roped in the best-known Chinese stunt choreographer Woo-ping Yuen.
-
And with Rajinikanth's army of fans, the movie has already generated a huge buzz.
-
Director Shankar, who has been tight-lipped so far about this action-packed sci-fi Tamil film reveals that the movie has lots of surprises in store for the audience.
-
"I have just finished the action sequences of the film Endhiran in Pune and Lonawala. Both the leading artists of the film were present during the shooting," Shankar had written earlier on his blog www.directorshankaronline.com.
-
A year ago some pictures, taken surreptitiously during the shooting of a song in Peru in South America, were released and Shankar had protested, saying it was a pirated work.
