Anupam, Kirron visit Big B at hospital

Actor Anupam Kher visited Seven Hills hospital in Mumbai where superstar Amitabh Bachchan is recuperating after abdominal surgeries.

Big B, who underwent two surgeries on Saturday, tweeted he was still in pain and had to stay in the hospital.

Actor Sanjay Dutt visited Seven Hills hospital to meet superstar Amitabh Bachchan, who is recuperating after undergoing abdominal surgery this weekend.

Big B tweeted: "Pushing myself to get up and on my feet by the bed .. stinging spasm pain ... back in bed .. but will try again."

Amitabh Bachchan continues to suffer pain. "The pain remains .. not at sight of wound but in the stomach .. more investigations .. CT scans, Xrays ..still in Hospital .. uggh !" he posted on Twitter. He was earlier likely to be discharged on Monday.

However Amitabh revealed on his Twitter page that his release was delayed after he developed acute pain in the area where he had undergone surgery. "NOT SUCH AN EXCITING DAY! Acute pain throughout, but bearing up... still in hospital and delay now in release," he tweeted Monday.

Abhishek Bachchan has earlier said that his father's upcoming abdominal surgery is a legacy of his 1982 accident on the sets of Coolie.

Amitabh was critically injured on July 26, 1982 in the intestines while filming a fight scene for Coolie with co-star Puneet Issar.

Yesterday, the Big B also tweeted about his surgery and also wrote on his blog "...This is being disclosed to the Ef (extended family) at this point of time -- a surgery that I shall be undergoing on the 11th morning. I do not wish to talk much on my medical condition, but trust and faith in my FmXt (extended family) allows me to do so."

"My stomach which has already been the bed of many complicated battles in the past, shall have to entertain this as well. Its a war zone , my body, and one which has been through a great deal and still does. A surgery that I shall be undergoing on the 11th morning and the surgery they say is not too complicated, but then all doctors say the same as you end up on the operating table, and before long the details and the subsequent anxieties begin to rise," Big B posted on his blog on 9th February.

Big B was spotted offering prayers with whole family before getting admitted in the Seven Hills hospital.

Bollywood's King Khan tweeted his best wishes for Mr. Bachchan saying, "@SrBachchan sir wish u the best.jaldi hi theek thaak hokar aap aa jayein..my prayers and love to u sir. Nasrun minal lahe wah fatahun kareeb."

It was followed by another tweet which said, "@SrBachchan sir wishing u speedy recovery. Get well sooner than soon..Nasrun Minal Lahe wah fatahun kareeb. Love to u and a big hug."

Veteran actor Dilip Kumar too posted his wishes for the Big B on Twitter: “Our prayers are with you (@SrBachchan) for your safe and quick recovery. Ameen.”
