At 36, Aditi Rao Hydari is a Bollywood Rockstar

With a royal lineage behind her and a bright career in showbiz, Bollywood actress Aditi Rao Hydari seems to have been born with a silver spoon. Lets have a look at her life and career in pictures as she turns 36 today.

Born in Hyderabad, Aditi Rao Hydari, belongs to the highly acclaimed Raja of Wanaparthy family. She is great granddaughter of Akbar Hydari and the grand niece of Muhammad Saleh Akbar Hydari, former Governor of Assam, thereby boasting of royals roots. Her maternal grandparents headed the administration of Wanaparthi state in their time.

Aditi began learning classical dance at the age of six. She learnt Bharatnatyam under the guidance of the much renowned dance instructor Leela Samson.

Aditi completed her schooling from Banglaore and graduated from Lady Sri Ram College in Delhi University.

In 2006, Aditi made her acting debut with Malayalam film Prajapathi opposite Mammootty.

Aditi's dancing prowess landed her the lead role in 2007 Tamil film Sringaram. Directed by Sharada Ramanathan, the movie was based on classical dance and received both commercial success and critical acclaim. Sringaram bagged three awards at the 53rd National Film Awards and two at the Tamil Nadu State Film Awards.

In 2009, Aditi was seen in a supporting role in Bollywood's Delhi-6 starring Abhishek Bachchan.

In 2011, she was seen in Sudhir Mishra's Yeh Saali Zindagi 2011. Aditi won a screen award following her powerful performance in the movie.

She played a journalist in Rockstar starring Ranbir Kapoor the same year.

The following year, she was seen romancing Ali Zafar in London Paris New York. Aditi won critical acclaim for her lead role in the movie.

In 2013, Aditi was seen in Boss starring Akshay Kumar and Asin.

Her most recent appearance on the silver screen includes Sonam Kapoor's Khoobsurat which released this September.

She also walked the ramp for designer Amy Bilimoria on October 5 in Mumbai.

Aaditi was most recently spotted at Aamir Khan's Diwali party. Aditi and Kiran Rao, actor Aamir Khan's wife, are maternal cousins.
