Bachchan Bol on Shamitabh

Amitabh Bachchan, who will be seen in director R Balki's forthcoming film Shamitabh, went ethnic for a press meet in Mumbai on February 4.

Debutante Akshara Haasan, who will be seen playing a director in the film, wrapped herself against the winter chill in a lavender T-shirt, black jacket, blue skinny jeans and boots.

She posed with her co-star Dhanush, who was seen in a semi-formal look.

Mr Bachchan and R Balki engaged in an interactive session with the media.

Kapil Sharma cracked a joke which had Big B, Dhanush and Akshara in splits.

While Big B, Akshara and Dhanush were colour co-ordinated in black, Kapil Sharma stood out in a white suit.

The trio also took the capital by storm soon after their stint on Comedy Nights With Kapil.

Big B had earlier written on Twitter: T 1756 - 'Comedy Nights with Kapil' just ended and its off to Delhi for #shamitabh again tomorrow early .. what a life it has become!!

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan and his Shamitabh co-stars, Dhanush and debutante Akshara Haasan, are in Ahmedabad, their first stop in a multi-city tour intended to promote their film.

Akshara helped Big B fly a kite, watched by Dhanush. Ahmedababd is celebrating Uttarayan, the kite flying festival that marks Makar Sankranti or the beginning of the harvest season. Big B wished his fans a happy Makar Sankranti on Twitter and said, "What better way to celebrate than to be in Ahmedabad and be Kite Flying."

Mr Bachchan was in full swing at the do.

Looks like Big B emerged victorious after a strenuous match.

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Tamil actor Dhanush and debutante Akshara Haasan launched the first trailer of their upcoming film Shamitabh in extravagant style in Mumbai on January 6. Akshara, who is the younger daughter of actors Kamal Haasan and Sarika, will make her Bollywood debut with the film, which has been directed by R Balki.

Akshara looked sassy in an LBD by Bebe, accessorised with a leather-cuff bracelet, blue studs and T-strap sandals.

Big B was incharacter, looking dapper in an opera-style jacket. Director R Balki has never shied away from experimenting with Big B's look in his films, be it Cheeni Kum or Paa, and here again he bowled us over with the old-fashioned cinema vibe.

Akshara posed with Dhanush, who was also in character as Shamitabh's Danish.

He said, "I get to experiment with my roles in Hindi cinema."

It looked like Dhanu-SHAMITABH-Bachchan engaged in a war of words.

Big B became a bathroom singer at the do after having announced on Twitter that he would be singing playback for the film. He had written, "Balki and Shamitabh meet. Got to sing another song aarrrgghh !! I am hopeless at this. But guess will have to do it!!"

Director R Balki came with his wife, English Vinglish director Gauri Shinde.

Veteran actress Sarika, who was last seen on TV with Big B in Anurag Kashyap's show Yudh, was present to bear witness to her daughter's first big moment in Bollywood.
