The almost two-year-old His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge has a new addition to his role - that of a big brother. George welcomed his baby sister, born on May 2 to Prince William and Kate Middleton.
The Kensington Palace informed on Twitter, "Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a daughter at 8.34am," adding, "Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well."

Baby George was born on July 22, 2013 at the St Mary's Hospital in London. His birth was celebrated across the commonwealth countries including New Zealand and Canada. He left the hospital with his mother on the very next day. This was his first, and for a long time, only public outing.

It was almost a month before we got another look at Baby George, when his first official Royal portrait was released. The photograph, taken by Kate's father Michael Middleton, also features the family pets Tilly and Lupo and was taken in the Middletons' garden.

Later, Buckingham Palace released a photo celebrating the christening of Prince George that shows four generations of the Royal Family and three of the Middletons gathered together. The group was photographed in The Morning Room at Clarence House in London on October 23, 2013.
