On his blog, Big B reveals that he shot the longest sequence on his career in Ram Gopal Verman's upcoming film Rann. Take a look.

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who has perfected the art of acting, went a step further this time while shooting for his upcoming movie Rann, when he completed a 13-minute-long scene in a single take, flooring the film unit and crew present there.
According to sources, the actor shot the 13-minute monologue, perhaps the longest his career, in one take.
"It was instantly done in the first take itself. The crew was astonished and claps were heard much after the scene was over," sources said. -
They also recalled an intense scene shot by the actor in the RGV movie, where Bachchan could not help but feel the pain of the character and his eyes welled up with tears.
Also, he always insists that Hindi dialogues be written in Devnagiri script, they said.

In Rann, Big B plays Harshvardhan Malik, the founder of India's first private news channel India 24/7 (Tis is what the film was first called).
Malik is the most respected figure in the world of journalism and is known for upholding journalistic ethics in all situations. -
Meanwhile, Ram Gopal Verma on his blog also explained his purpose behind making Rann, what it is about and his experience of working with Big B once again.
He said: "I have titled the film I am going to make on the media as Rann.
"The way the news is presented today is much more entertaining than family soaps and thrillers. What’s worse is that we enjoy this kind presentation so much that we have got addicted to them for our daily dose of fun and drama.
"AND HIGH DRAMA IS WHAT Rann IS GOING TO BE." -
Ramu has a long post on his blog about working with Amitabh Bachchan.
He says: "From the time of being awestruck with him in Zanzeer, Deewaar etc to consciously understanding his screen prowess post Khuddaar (which incidentally largely was responsible in influencing my own technique of shaping up characters in my films), my biggest desire cinematically was to do a film with him which eventually I realized in Sarkar. -
If RGV's blog is a revelation of his understanding of films and actors, especially Amitabh Bachchan, then Rann might turn out to be quite different because RGV seems to have understood something from those 'mistakes'.
He says: "As an actor I think Nishabd is Amitji’s finest performance mainly because of its sheer complexities and it demanded such subtle nuances of reactions...But the question is does one want to see Amitji just as an actor? I for one don’t want to, unless the acting is coming from a certain immensely larger than life perspective." -
Rann stars Amitabh Bachchan, Paresh Rawal, Mohnish Behl, Riteish Deshmukh, Rajat Kapoor, Sudeep, Gul Panag, Raima Sen and Rajpal Yadav form the motely cast of the movie.
-
Rann released alongwith Vishal Bharadwaj's much awaited movie Ishqiya.
