Big Stars, Bigger Dresses at the Met Gala: Beyonce, Rihanna, JLo

A string of A-list celebrities glammed up the red carpet of the annual Costume Institute Gala, or the Met Ball, in New York on May 4, the theme of which was ‘China: Through the Looking Glass.'

The red carpet of the Met Gala was jam-packed with impossibly glamorous celebrities, none more so than singer Beyonce who stopped traffic in a Givenchy dress so sheer she might as well have worn nothing.

The annual Costume Institute Gala, or Met Ball, was held in New York on May 4. This year's theme was ‘China: Through the Looking Glass.'

Rihanna also stopped the Gala dead in its tracks in an exquisite handmade yellow gown by Chinese designer Guo Pei. Her dramatic train swept behind her in a moment of pure red carpet drama, inspiring the hashtag #slayanna.
