  • Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani: Review: "'Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani', a comedy set in a comic book universe, is a frustratingly uneven film. Some of it is genuinely funny and delightful and some of it is repetitive, and annoyingly tedious. But even in its most limp moments, what keeps the film from derailing is its lead pair: Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif. There is such sizzle and beauty and unadulterated charm here that you really can't look away." (Anupama Chopra, Consulting Editor, Films, NDTV)
  • Kambakkht Ishq: Worldwide collection Rs. 85,34,95,650 (Source: Ibosnetwork.com). Plot Summary: 'Kambakkht Ishq' explores the relationship between two individuals as different from each other as chalk and cheese. Viraj Shergill (Akshay Kumar) is a swashbuckling stuntman in Hollywood who believes that women are only good for two things: "making love" & "making love". Simrita Rai (Kareena Kapoor) is a firebrand who is more than able to stare down the most arrogant male with her caustic wit and sardonic tongue. She firmly believes that there is no such thing as love. When the two people who hate each other the most meet at Simrita's best friend Kamini's (Amrita Arora) and Viraj's brother Lucky's (Aftab Shivdasani) wedding, the result is a wedding that both Viraj and Simrita are violently opposed to and desperate to stop. (Wikipedia)
  • Kambakkht Ishq: Review: "Akshay plays a playboy-stuntman, who has a knack of impressing women very easily. Even Hollywood actress Denise Richards pecks his lip for a nano-second in the movie and mentions to tabloids that he's a great kisser. Kareena Kapoor is a super-model by night and a medical surgeon by day. She hates Akshay for reasons you may neither understand nor even care to. The first half manages to scroll through with songs and dances. But then a bigger twist awaits you in the later half. The supermodel-surgeon operates on the playboy-stuntman and leaves a watch with a recurring alarm bell inside his body. Every few minutes, the alarm bell keeps ringing. She is scared that he will sue her and tries to seduce him. Even after reading this, you by any chance go and watch the movie, you'll realise that the film is infinitely more ridiculous." (Anupama Chopra, Consulting Editor, Films, NDTV)
  • Wanted: Worldwide collection Rs. 74,42,47,115 (Source: Ibosnetwork.com). Plot Summary: Radhe (Salman Khan) is a hard-core gangster. A sharp-shooter with a sharp brain, he works for Gani Bhai, the dreaded Mafioso, on his own terms. Totally fearless, Radhe singlehandedly eliminates Gani Bhai's enemies, one by one - making more enemies in the process. The man is devoid of any principles; he is arrogant, ruthless and does not care about the emotions of other people. Radhe's astounded when young and pretty Jhanvi (Ayesha Takia) professes her affection for him. Inspector Talpade's lustful eyes fall on Jahnavi. He doesn't know that Jahnavi has developed a soft spot for Radhe. Jahnavi is a very simple innocent and a naive girl and she believes that everything is good in the world and nothing is bad. After she meets Radhe she realizes that all her previous notions were wrong and life after that becomes a roller coaster ride for her. There is a transition in her character then. Whether it's the Golden gang or Data Pawle's Gang, everybody wants the biggest piece of the lucrative cake that is Mumbai and the only way to get it is to eliminate whoever gets in the way. As Mumbai reels under bloody gang wars, Commissioner Ashraf Khan Vows to make the city crime-free and starts his campaign by arresting 200 criminals. (Wikipedia)
  • Wanted: Review: "'Wanted', directed by ace choreographer Prabhu Deva who also made the Tamil version of the film, is a senseless, noisy, gratuitously violent movie - the kind that you thought you had left behind in the 1980s. Salman Khan plays Radhey, a super-cool tapori who is described by his friends as "Rocky ka baap, Terminator ka nana, the last action hero...'Wanted' is what film trade pundits routinely describe as a movie for the masses. But I'm not sure who will find this tedious parade of dialogue-baazi and blood entertaining." (Anupama Chopra, Consulting Editor, Films, NDTV)
  • Kaminey: Worldwide collection Rs. 73,73,67,417 (Source: Ibosnetwork.com). Plot Summary: Guddu and Charlie are identical twins born and raised in the slums of Mumbai. One is an honest, diligent social worker while the other hedges bets at a racecourse. The brothers want nothing to do with each other. But when Charlie gets mixed up in a deadly get-rich-quick scheme and Guddu realizes that the love of his life has unwittingly put a price on his head, their lives begin to collide. They find themselves facing rogue politicians, drug dealers and crooked cops. As they uncover a sinister plot laid out by the 'political-police-underworld' nexus, their stories finally converge to a point when they realize they only have each other. (UTV Communications)
  • Kaminey: Review: "'Kaminey' is the best Bollywood film I've seen this year. It's an audacious, original rollercoaster ride. Written and directed by Vishal Bharadwaj, Kaminey requires patience and attention but the pay off is more than worth it...'Kaminey' is that rarest of things: an unpredictable Hindi movie. Vishal, referencing the crackling gangster dramas of Quentin Tarantino and Guy Ritchie, keeps it gritty and dark. Violence looms large over Kaminey but the tension is layered with black humor." (Anupama Chopra, Consulting Editor, Films, NDTV)
  • Love Aaj Kal: Worldwide collection Rs. 73,15,69,148 (Source: Ibosnetwork.com). Plot Summary: LOVE AAJ LONDON, SAN FRANCISCO, DELHI - 2009. Jai and Meera is a modern-day couple in London. Veer Singh is struck by the thunderbolt when he sees Harleen for the first time. He travels a thousand kilometers by train to stand under her balcony only to have a glimpse of her face. And yet not speak a word with her. Love Aaj Kal's Veer does not understand how Jai can treat matters of the heart without passion, like a financial transaction. Jai does not understand how Veer Singh could have been so naïve and silly about Harleen in the days of his youth. But as both stories unfold, we realize that the process of relationship might be different in different eras, but the experience of being in love remains the same. So there is the frolic and despair of modern living. And there is the past – the times of innocence and compulsion. And there is distance, and the fondness that increases with distance. Gaps widen between two people, but bridges keep growing too. (Press Release)
  • Love Aaj Kal: Review: "When his girlfriend asks: Do you love me, Jai, the protagonist of Love Aaj Kal, played by Saif Ali Khan, replies: Love, who knows what that is? I haven't figured out that one yet. Love Aaj Kal is about how, over the course of many months, across three continents and after several break-ups, Jai figures out what love is...Love Aaj Kal is an above average film with some wonderful moments, nice lines and fine performances." (Anupama Chopra, Consulting Editor, Films, NDTV)
  • All The Best: Worldwide collection Rs. 62,05,58,305 (Source: Ibosnetwork.com). Prem is happily married to Jhanvi (Bipasha Basu), who takes care of his ancestral out-dated 'Chopra Gymnasium'. Veer and Prem land up with debts as they have opted for short-cut to earn easy money. Watch the fun unfold as both get into a bigger soup when Dharam pays a sudden visit to their place. Circumstances are created because of which Vidya is mistaken as Jhanvi and Jhanvi is mistaken as Vidya...soon the two start juggling between prolonging their debt payments to a local don, Tobu (Johnnny Lever) and convincing plus pacifying Dharam about the false status. The outcome is a rib-tickling comic situation where Veer and Prem handle the unexpected characters arriving at their place and coping with acquaintances while they boast and cover-up lies in this hilarious comedy of errors. (Official website)
  • All The Best: Review: "If you prefer to see Sanjay Dutt fitter and more awake, you might want to venture into 'All The Best: The Fun Begins', the latest from the Rohit Shetty-Ajay Devgn combine. The director-producer-star duo, who also gave us Golmaal and Golmaal Returns, seem to have concocted a workable comic formula...It's seriously low IQ but you can't stop laughing. The actors are having such a good time that their energy is infectious. Ajay and Sanjay play off each other like pros and even Fardeen manages a few genuinely funny expressions. The energy dips in the second half and the film climaxes in an outlandish African angle. So we have lots of actors in black-face, which would be offensive if it wasn't so obviously silly." (Anupama Chopra, Consulting Editor, Films, NDTV)
  • New York: Worldwide collection Rs. 61,49,57,945 (Source: Ibosnetwork.com). Plot Summary: 'New York' is a contemporary story of friendship set against the larger than life backdrop of a city often described as the centre of the world. For most of us, larger events in the world are just headlines in the newspapers but these events can change our lives... forever. 'New York' is one such story of 3 young friends whose beautiful lives are turned upside down by larger events beyond their control. (Yash Raj Films)
  • New York: Review: "Finally a Bollywood blockbuster in the theatres after so long. New York is directed by Kabir Khan, whose last film Kabul Express had simultaneously informed, irritated and amused its audiences. If that was a rare achievement for a mainstream Bollywood film, New York also manages to intelligently entertain. Set against the backdrop of a post 9/11 America, the film is the story of two young Muslim boys of Indian origin and their girlfriend Maya, played by Katrina Kaif. The three haven't been in touch since college and September 11, 2001, a date that changed the world and their lives." (Mayank Shekhar, Film critic, NDTV)
  • De Dana Dan: Worldwide collection Rs. 57,44,76,664 (Source: Ibosnetwork.com). Plot Summary: Nitin (Akshay Kumar) and Ram (Suniel Shetty) are only lucky in love, otherwise their life is a big zero as is their bank balance. But now their rich girlfriends, Anjali (Katrina Kaif) and Manpreet (Sameera Reddy) have given them an ultimatum – earn enough money so that we can elope or forget us forever. Broke and desperate Nitin and Ram need to make big money and fast. They hit upon an audacious plan to kidnap Moolchandji, the spoilt dog of rich brat Archana (Archana Puran Singh). But Moolchandji runs far away from there, and the police think it's Nitin who's been kidnapped. As the guys try to get their hands on the ransom money, they encounter assorted characters like a Chinese Don, a hired assassin, an ACP (Assistant Commissioner of Police) officer, a club dancer, an ambassador, a young frustrated wife, a letch, a drunken waiter and a dead body nobody wants who have all checked in the same hotel in Singapore. (Wikipedia)
  • De Dana Dan: Review: "In 'De Dana Dan' Johnny Lever plays a hitman named Kala. He sits down in a coffee shop and introduces himself to someone: "hello, I'm Kala. The guys says: toh maine kab bola gora hai. This low-IQ, college canteen humour made me laugh, and it is as good as it gets in the film. The movie starts out funny but gradually becomes more and more exhausting. The film sticks to what seems to have become the standard formula for Bollywood comedies." (Anupama Chopra, Consulting Editor, Films, NDTV)
  • Dev D: Review: "Anurag Kashyap and Devdas are a match made in celluloid heaven. The first is a filmmaker known for deeply disturbing angst-ridden films. The second is Indian cinema's iconic tragic hero. Anurag, who has never shied away from dark material, was seemingly the perfect candidate to give Devdas a contemporary twist. But sadly, this marriage is not as magical as it should have been." (Anupama Chopra, Consulting Editor, Films, NDTV)
  • Wake Up Sid: Worldwide collection Rs. 21,31,08,942 (Source: Ibosnetwork.com). Despite all these traits, Sid is an honest boy; sweet, funny, and above all, a good friend. Aisha Bannerjee (Konkona Sen Sharma), an aspiring writer from Calcutta, learns this soon enough when her path crosses with Sid's on her first day in Bombay, Ambitious, well-read, and driven, Aisha has come to Bombay to realize her dreams as a writer. Will he, at some point figure out what he's supposed to be doing with his life? (UTV Motion Pictures)
  • Wake Up Sid: Review: "'Wake Up Sid' is the coming-of-age story of a slacker named Sid, played by Ranbir Kapoor. In a wonderfully done title sequence, debutant director Ayan Mukherji shows us Sid struggling with accounting the night before his final exam. He's had four cups of coffee and stays up till 3 am but he doesn't get past the first question. Unfortunately the film doesn't maintain this crackling momentum and becomes a patchy, predictable story held together by the sheer prowess of Ranbir. Ayan, working from his own story and screenplay, skillfully creates Sid's state of arrested development." (Anupama Chopra, Consulting Editor, Films, NDTV)
