Bollywood congratulates Anna Hazare

After single-handedly provoking a people's revolution, 72-year-old social activist Anna Hazare, who launched what he calls "India's second freedom struggle," ended his hunger strike.

Bollywood beauty Shilpa Shetty said: "Anna Hazare has won:)Salute his gumption and selfless work..makes me feel very small..complete Respect!Now this is Democracy"

Noted director Shekhar Kapur tweeted: Celebrate Anna's victory against government, but be vigilant always, for victory can be shortlived."

Renowned writer Shobhaa De said it was a victory of the youth and she tweeted: "Anna Hazare,Zindabad!Big victory for Young India. You can enjoy the IPL now. You have earned your entertainment. Become cheerleaders for Clean India!"

Yoga guru Baba Ramdev today joined social activist Anna Hazare's agitation against corruption. Joining the protesters at Delhi's Jantar Mantar, Baba Ramdev said the government should hang the corrupt so that it serves as a deterrent to others.

Choreographer-turned-filmmaker Farah Khan also showed her support for the movement.

Vishal Dadlani posted a message, "Privileged to be on this stage. The energy is electric. This movement CANNOT fail!"

Civil rights activist Kiran Bedi said the entire nation got the inspiration of sacrifice from the Gandhian leader.

Actress Gul Panag stands up for Anna Hazare at Jantar Mantar, Delhi. The actress, who has been vigorously supporting Mr Hazare's anti-corruption crusade, has posted this picture on her twitter account.

As support pours in from all quarters for veteran activist and Gandhian Anna Hazare's fast-unto-death campaign against corruption, Bollywood too has joined the chorus.
Aamir Khan wrote to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh asking him to pay "heed to the voice of Anna Hazare", who has started a fast against corruption.

"I am merely one of many who fully support Hazare, and have come to appreciate that this upright 72-year-old man is willing to sacrifice his life in the fight against corruption," wrote Aamir Khan, in his letter dated April 6, to the prime minister.
