At the peak of her career, Karisma married Delhi-based industrialist Sunjay Kapur on September 29, 2003. It has been rough going for the once happy couple, with persistent rumours of divorce and infidelity.
Recently, Sunjay and Karisma were reported to be finally going there separate ways. There were rumours that Sunjay wants to take his friendship with model-socialite Priya Sachdev to the next level. -
Karisma and Sunjay had their first child - a daughter Samaira, who was born on March 11, 2005.

Karisma was born on 25 June 1974 to actors Randhir Kapoor and Babita. She is the granddaughter of renowned actor and filmmaker Raj Kapoor and great-granddaughter of actor Prithviraj Kapoor.
