Do 40-somethings have more fun?

Choreographer, director and now actress Farah Khan makes her acting debut in Bela Bhansali Sehgal's film, Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi, also starring Boman Irani.

The romantic comedy narrates the story of two 40-plus Parsi lovers, Shirin Fugawala (played by Farah Khan) and Farhad Pastakiya (Boman Irani).

Boman Irani plays a 45-year-old Parsi bachelor who works as a lingerie salesman.

Farah Khan is a Parsi trust secretary who is bubbly and straightforward.

Farah Khan was reportedly not comfortable with a kissing scene and only agreed to do the film when the makers removed it from the script.

Boman Irani in a recent interview said that he was uncomfortable doing romantic scenes with Farah. "Our approach towards romance was all the more immature. As we don't know how one will romance at the age of 45 like do we hold hands, sent messages or flowers or other things. The falling in love is clumsy, immature, catching and holding hands is done in clumsy, bumbling fashion," he had said.

The film is produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Sunil Lulla.

It is Sanjay Leela Bhansali's sister Bela Bhansali Sehgal's first film as director.

The first look and the trailer is already making waves.

The film hits theatres on August 24, 2012.
