  • Robot (Endhiran): It's not easy to match steps with the world's most beautiful woman (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan) but nothing is impossible for the star who many say doesn't rule the box-office, but owns it. Rajinikanth proved that he is the ultimate megastar as he played the straight-faced robot Chitti, almost effortlessly, in this super fun sci-fi flick.
  • Sultan: The Warrior: Rajinikanth's daughter Soundarya played up with her father's superstar persona as she portrayed him as a warrior with 6 pack abs in the animated film Sultan: The Warrior. Hollywood's best technicians were hired to get an exact Rajinikanth look-alike animated character.
  • Sivaji: The Boss: This film of political intrigue received a phenomenal response in India and overseas and Rajinikanth's portrayal of the suave NRI, who fights, romances and dances in his inimitable style, was also appreciated. Not to mention, the actor donned several looks in the song named Style song.
  • Sri Raghavendra: Rajinikanth who was known for his action oriented and flamboyant characters, broke his image completely in his 100th film. The actor played the role of his spiritual guru, Sri Raghavendra Swami which is undoubtedly his most offbeat portrayal.
  • Moondru Mugam: Rajinikanth had a triple role in this film. But the character that stood out the most was role of the scrupulous and classy cop Alex Pandian.
  • Thillu Mullu: In this remake of the Bollywood superhit Golmaal saw Rajnikanth forego his signature moustache for the first time and awed everyone with his comic timing.
