Golden Globes fashion: The worst dressed stars

Sandra Bullock in Prabal Gurung: Best Actress nominee Sandra's colourblocked satin dress certainly wasn't defying Gravity, it was freefalling all the way to fashion hell.

  • Sandra Bullock in Prabal Gurung: Best Actress nominee Sandra's colourblocked satin dress certainly wasn't defying Gravity, it was freefalling all the way to fashion hell.
  • Julia Roberts in Dolce & Gabbana: Leave it to the former Pretty Woman to pick the one un-sexy dress from the Dole & Gabbana closet. Best Supporting Actress nominee Julia looked like she'd set out to remind everyone that she is a much-married mother now in matronly monochrome.
  • Lena Dunham in Zac Posen: There's usually fun dress on the red carpet courtesy the Girls star but this canary yellow number was not one of them.
  • Paula Patton in Stephane Rolland: Don't you just hate it when beautiful women wear ugly dresses? The lovely Mission: Impossible 4 star's white column dress would have passed muster if it weren't for the giant ruffle.
  • Drew Barrymore in Monique L'huillier: Expectant mother Drew Barrymore certainly had the pregnancy glow on her face but her overly-floral dress failed to deliver.
  • Zoe Saldana in Prabal Gurung: That's two Prabal Gurung fails we've counted so far. Zoe's outfit looked like it had started out as one dress and ended up another. Not to mention the perma-droopy strappy sleeves that threatened to slip off entirely.
  • Sarah Hyland in Georges Hobeika: The Modern Family actress looked like she was dressed for the prom in candy pink. We didn't like the colour, we didn't like the cut, and we didn't like Sarah's hair either.
  • Uma Thurman in Atelier Versace: The only thing that saves this ugly black dress from complete disaster is Uma's traffic-stopping figure.
  • Hayden Panettiere Tom Ford: Stark Tom Ford monochrome works for the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow, not pint-sized twentysomethings. We suggest Zac Posen for next time, Haden.
  • Julie Bowen in Carolina Herrera: This would have been a great dress on someone else. Cate Blanchett, for one. But not on Modern Family star Julie who looked slightly uncomfortable in the severely cut velvet bodice and unforgiving skirt.
