Ahead - Blast from the past: Two little Kapoors -
This picture dates back to the time when the fourth generation of the Kapoors were yet to make a splash in Bollywood. Cousins Kareena and Ranbir Kapoor enjoy playing with balloons together at a birthday party, clearly oblivious to their future greatness.
We so hope to see them in a film together some day. (This image was posted on Twitter by @BollyQueenBebo)

Coming up: Vintage Bollywood: Smita Patil, Deepti Naval -
Here's a Kodak moment from the original Miss Chamko from 1981's Chashme Baddoor. Deepti Naval posted this picture of herself and late actress Smita Patil on her Facebook page. Both actresses are dressed in typical ‘80s style - Arth star Smita in a striped top belted at the waist and Deepti in high-waisted pants tucked into boots. Smita Patil died in 1986. A moment lost in time.
"A moment with Smita - back in the 80s - on a cloudy day at Band Stand," Ms Naval commented on the picture.
It's not the first time that Deepti Naval has spoken about her friendship with the late actress. In her book 'Black Wind', the actress had written a heartfelt poem dedicated to Ms Patil, titled Smita and I.

Who's that cutie on a very young Salman Khan's lap? It's a picture of his little sister Arpita Khan, who posted the picture on Twitter to wish her brother a very happy birthday. Salman turned 47 on December 27.
Arpita who is a familiar face in Bollywood's inner circle, is the adopted daughter of writer Salim Khan and dancing diva Helen and the youngest in the Khan clan.
Coming up: This is what Lady Gaga looked like at 9 -
Clearly, she was really Born This Way. Lady Gaga tweeted this picture of herself aged all of nine and, adorable though she was, it's easy to see that her maverick sense of style developed at a very early age.

Bips has been a regular at tweeting pics of her bachpan. the picture posted earlier was her smiling cutely at the camera. Little Bips recalls that people used to call her "Lady Gunda" and it's easy to see why!
-
Neil Nitin Mukesh tweeted a day-old pic of his with his mom. The actor wrote: "One day old ME :)"
-
Before we tell you who this is, just feast your eyes for a moment. You might just be looking at a perfect cherub, one of God's winged, baby angels.
This particular cherub was christened Neil Nitin Mukesh and you know him very well. Plump, cuddly and blessed with awesomely golden hair. -
Neil Nitin Mukesh, a little more grown up, with just a hint of that plumpness remaining. The hair, however, stays as golden and as beautiful.
-
That's right. You're looking at a young G.One, the world's newest superhero.
Shah Rukh Khan, a much younger version of himself, was one C-kid. That's not a typo; studying at New Delhi's prestigious St. Columba's School, Shah Rukh and his posse rechristened themselves the "C-Gang" which stood for "Cool Gang". Cheesy? Check. Goofy? Check. Endearing? Absolutely! -
If you made the mistake of thinking Shah Rukh's hairstyle in RA.One was spanking new, you should think again.
This photograph of his, circa 1965, proves that he tested out the spikes long before he even learned to walk. If that isn't foresight, nothing is. -
Aamir Khan has always been way ahead of his pack. When most of us were dribbling Cerelac on our shirts, Aamir was scribbling the alphabet on his!
Mature and smiling, that's how we always see him; the second photograph shows there's consistency in his character. -
Salman Khan, in his first ever role as the Baldy-guard.
Puns aside, you're looking at the superstar of today as he was yesterday. Well, not yesterday, but close enough. -
It's one of the only few times we see Saif Ali Khan with both his sisters, Soha and Saba, in the same frame.
-
Shashi Kapoor, as a fine young man. His handsomeness adds colour to this black-and-white photograph.
-
Towering, stentorian and with a baritone so deep it's almost bottomless. Isn't that what comes to your mind when you think of Amitabh Bachchan?
Well, here's presenting the Big B as a little baby. Warning: you might not be able to fully wrap your head around this visual. -
Mr Bachchan's little one, Abhishek, scores high on the 'cute' factor. As charming as he is now, he was even more adorable as a little child.
-
A preteen Abhishek as seen in the Bachchan family photographs.
-
Go ahead, try and guess who this is. Just try.
Well, scratching your head won't help--that, ladies and gentlemen, is many different women; she is Simran, she is Anjali, she is Naina and she is also the vile Madan Chopra's innocent daughter, Priya.
If you still haven't caught on, then here's some enlightenment: you're looking at Kajol. -
All you ladies, beware! Bollywood's resident heartbreaker will win you over instantly.
Of course, he's off limits in these photographs, which peg him as a naughty looking prankster! In fact, his entire family, comprising a very young and rather fit-looking Rishi Kapoor, mother Neetu Singh and sister Riddhima, look quite fetching. -
No, we're not showing you another picture of Aamir's, though he does have screen presence even in a still photograph.
But we digress: look towards Aamir's right and you'll see a very young, quite dashing Imran Khan. He might be whisking away his brother's dulhan these days (strictly on screen, of course), but here he's occupied with a very intense scene: his birthday! -
The only pair of siblings in Bollywood most of us ever registered.
Karisma and Kareena Kapoor smile away to glory in this beautiful photograph. -
As the sisters grew up, we saw the famous Kapoor khandaan genes take superb effect.
-
Before she was Mrs. Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai was a leading actress (which she still is) and model (which she's not). However, there was a time even before either of these phases, a time before she became the most famous Miss World ever.
And that time is reflected beautifully in her baby pictures. -
Yeh dhai kilo ka haath hai is perhaps one of the most quoted dialogues in our country. Uttered by a very fierce looking Sunny Deol in Damini
Have a look at Sunny paaji when all of him was dhai kilo (two and a half kilos), wrapped in his father Dharmendra's embrace. On his left, Bobby Deol Soldier-s on as a youngling. -
Tell us you love him!
Hrithik Roshan can count these six photographs on one hand (we're not trying to be mean, but facts are facts), but only we can appreciate what a handsome child he was. Makes sense, considering how devilishly good looking he eventually turned out. -
This sepia-stained photograph of Sanjay Dutt with his mother Nargis shows us exactly why he tears up every time someone mentions her--there is unquestionable love, adoration and respect radiating through them.
We even see a young Sanjay dressed up as a Qawwal, while a miniature version of himself looks petrified of the camera! -
One more celebrity you probably wouldn't be able to make out without a hint.
Hint: he's Shahid Kapoor.
Oops. -
He would win a poll titled "Most Likely To Turn Out A Handsome Adult" hands down and its easy to see why--he was all prepared for his 'hunk' status even then!
Carefully drawing attention to his abs even then, John Abraham, it turns out, was quite a fun child, naughty and smiling! The photograph on the bottom right shows his penchant for posing. -
Even as a child, Katrina Kaif brought the 'Certified Star' factor to her bearing and demeanor. Just look at how she poses on the beach!
-
It's safe to say that Deepika Padukone's face hasn't changed much over the years. The rectitude in her eyes and the pleasant, easy smile remains with her even today.
-
Raveena Tandon, a true Chandigarh di star, we must say.
-
If you took a little while to realize who this is, then all you should've done was to look into Rani Mukherjee's eyes--they were as remarkable then as they are today, with the familiar essence of hiding more than they reveal.
-
Akshaye Khanna, captured at a time when he had more hair on his head than on his chest!
Jokes apart, isn't he just adorable? -
Before she dazzled everybody with her sizzling turn in Shut up and bounce, Shilpa Shetty looked like a simple, demure Indian girl.
She retains those values and that inherent innocence even now. -
Kaho Na...Pyaar Hai star Ameesha Patel poses on a bike with her brother, Ashmit Patel.
-
Wait, we thought Gul Panag got married in this March? What's she doing in bridal wear this young?
Oh, that's right, she's playing dress up, just like every girl on the planet. She does it with such poise and grace, however, it shows why she chose to become a model and an actress--she was made for it! -
Gul Panag, in an effort to woo the camera, mistakes her pet dog for the couch.
Since we know that the only thing that bit her was the acting bug, it's safe to assume the dog didn't mind. -
The other Kapoor family, the one with Anil Kapoor as its head, in a beautiful family photograph!
While his wife Sunita holds onto their son, Harshvardhan, Anil stands behind his daugthers, Sonam (left) and Rhea. -
Proud father Anil Kapoor with his daugthers Sonam and Rhea, as cute and cuddly as they could possibly get.
-
Who's this young Superman?
Tusshar Kapoor endears himself to the camera. The top left photograph also projects his elder sister, Ekta Kapoor, who looks blissfully unaware of the fact that she would rule both the television and film industries one day. -
Can you make out who this young woman, with a twinkle in her eye, is?
Akshay Kumar's future wife looks ready to rule the world--that, too, while looking sleepy. If that doesn't speak of power, nothing does.
