Actress Katrina Kaif celebrates her 36th birthday today. Her latest film Bharat was a blockbuster at the box office and some of her other biggest hits include movies like Ek Tha Tiger and Tiger Zinda Hai. Her next film Sooryavanshi will release next year. As Katrina turns a year older, here's a look at her journey in Bollywood so far.

After Boom bombed at the box office and her sketchy command of Hindi proved a major obstacle in bagging Bollywood roles, Katrina appeared in three Southern language films - the Telugu Malliswari and Allari Pidugu and Malayalam language Balram vs Taradas.

In 2010, Katrina appeared in Prakash Jha's Raajneeti, opposite Ranbir Kapoor, flooring both critics and audiences alike and even winning a couple of awards. Raajneeti's good work was undone by Farah Khan's disastrous Tees Maar Khan (2010), with fan-favourite item number Sheila Ki Jawani providing the only silver lining.

Katrina started 2016 with Fitoor, co-starring Aditya Roy Kapur. It was director Abhishek Kapoor's adaptation of Great Expectations. The film tanked at box office. Katrina ended the year with the ill-fated Baar Baar Dekho.
