Samantha Ruth Prabhu was born on April 28, 1987 to a Malayali mother and a Telugu father. She was brought up in Chennai and is the youngest child of the family. She completed her bachelor's degree in commerce at Stella Maris College, Chennai. During her under graduation, she started modeling.
